UK Council Tax & Utilities Bill Calendar

Most budget spreadsheets treat council tax like any other monthly bill, but in the UK it's normally spread over 10 instalments from April to January, with nothing due in February and March — and you have the right to switch to 12 months instead. This calendar builds that in properly: enter your annual council tax once, pick your plan, and every month shows the correct instalment. Your other direct debits — energy, water, broadband, TV Licence, insurance, subscriptions — line up alongside it in one clean grid.

The five tabs include:

Enter £1,800 a year and the sheet splits it to £180 across April–January (£0 in February and March) on the standard plan, or £150 every month on the 12-month plan, with April carrying any odd pennies so the total matches your bill exactly. A 34-bill worked example was independently re-checked across both plans, quarterly and half-yearly bills, and a negative credit. 94 of 94 QA checks pass.
